DAY WISE ITINERARY

 

Day 01:  Leave from Delhi and Arrival at Jammu Railway Station/Airport or directly land at Srinagar International Airport.

Catch train from Delhi to Jammu. Pick up from Railway Station and drive to Hotel. Meet other group members in Hotel in evening. Further travel discussion with group manager in evening. Dinner and overnight in Jammu in Hotel.

Day 02:  Jammu to Srinagar ( 299 kms )

After breakfast drive from Jammu to Srinagar and transfer to Houseboat. The distance of about 300 kms will be covered in about 9-10 hrs. Late night Shikara ride in Dal lake. Dinner and overnight in Deluxe Houseboat of Athena Group in Golden Dal lake.

Day 2 Srinagar – Kargil ( 202.3 kms )

 

 After breakfast leave for the Kargil via Sonamarg.

Kargil is 202.3 km away from Srinagar and located on the Srinagar to Leh Highway. Kargil is the second largest town in Ladakh and was once a flourishing and an important town lying on the ancient trade routes between India, China and Central Asia.  Overnight stay at the Hotel in Kargil

Day 3 Kargil – Leh ( 210 kms )

 

Wake up early in the morning and drive to Leh. The distance from Kargil to Leh is 210 kms which will take about 7-8 hrs, enjoy magnificient views on the way. Night stay at Hotel in Leh.

Day 04:  Leh

 

After breakfast rest for the day in the Hotel  for acclimatization to high altitude. Visit the Leh market or The Shanti Stupa which provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and an especially

Beautiful sunset.

Day 5  Leh – Pangong Tso: 145 km (6 hrs)

After breakfast drive to reach Pangong Lake at 4,350 m (14,270 ft.) Night stay in Deluxe Camp.

Day 6 Pangong - Thiksey – Leh: 130 kms (6 hrs)

Wake up early to See the beautiful sunrise on the Pangong Lake. The splendid colours at Leh the lake will leave you mesmerized. After  breakfast proceed for Leh visiting Thiksey, Shey Monastery & Indus River enroute.

Day 7 Leh to  Nubra Valley: 130 km (5 hrs)

After  breakfast drive north towards Siachen Glacier to Nubra valley also fondly called Valley of Nubra flowers. Enjoy the serpentine roads crossing one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Relax at the Camp in the evening.

Day 8 Nubra Valley to  Leh: 130 kms (5 hrs)

On your way back to Leh, Once you reach Khardungla Top, take time out to get your photo Leh taken next to the signboard which says “Khardung La, 18380ft, Highest Motorable Road in theworld”. Evening free for shopping in the Local Market

 

Day 09: Leh to Sonmarg  ( 334 kms )

After breakfast drive to Sonmarg. The distance of about 334 kms will be covered in about 8-10 hrs. Night stay at Hotel in Sonmarg

Day 10 : Sonmarg to Srinagar  (90 kms )

After breakfast roam in Sonmarg and feed your cameras with magnificent scenery of Sonmarg ( the valley of gold). After lunch leave for Srinagar. The distance of about 90 kms will be covered in about 10-11 hrs. Night stay at Srinagar in Hotel.

Day 11 : Srinagar to Jammu and Delhi

 

After breakfast drive to Jammu to catch train back to Delhi. The distance of about 299 kms will be covered in about 10 hrs. Dinner and overnight in Jammu.

 

Day 12: Jammu Drop and leave for Delhi

After breakfast leave for drop at Jammu Railway/Airport.
